Description ShareTweetPinLinkedInPrintEmail Turquoise Turtle Crystal Sculpture Totem Statue Includes 1 Turtle Sculpture, measures approx. 1.49-1.65″ L x 0.98-1.18″ W *Please Note: No two gemstones are EVER alike and your one-of-a-kind real natural crystals will have small variations from the images due to every stone forming in its own way naturally. Sizes are approximate and may also vary. The Turtle represents wisdom, persistence, groundedness, patience, determination, and endurance. The Aztecs viewed Turquoise as an embodiment of fire and gave it properties such as heat and smokiness. They inlaid Turquoise along with other gemstones into provocative (presumably ceremonial) mosaic objects such as masks (some with a human skull as their base), knives, and shields. Like the Aztecs, the Pueblo, Navajo and Apache tribes cherished Turquoise for its amuletic use; the Apache believing the stone affords an archer dead aim. A great gemstone for hunting, it also prevents a rider from falling off their horse and protects from harm in battle. In the ancient Persian Empire, the sky-blue gemstones were earlier worn around the neck or wrist as protection against an unnatural death. If they changed color, the wearer was thought to have reason to fear the approach of doom. In many cultures of the Old and New worlds, this gemstone has been esteemed for thousands of years as a holy stone, a bringer of good fortune or a talisman. The oldest evidence for this claim was found in Ancient Egypt, where grave furnishings with Turquoise inlay were discovered, dating from approximately 3,000 BCE. Today, the crystal is believed to bridge the earthly and heavenly realms, while helping you stay grounded during spiritual practices. Even today, Native American cultures believe that Turquoise creates a direct connection to the sky. The Goddess Hathor is associated with Turquoise, as she is the patroness of Serabit el-Khadim (a locality in the southwest Sinai Peninsula, Egypt), where it was mined. Her titles included “Lady of Turquoise”, “Mistress of Turquoise”, and “Lady of Turquoise Country”. Turquoise is also a stone in the Jewish High Priest’s breastplate, described in Exodus chapter 28. The stone is also considered sacred to the indigenous Zuni and Pueblo peoples of the American Southwest. The pre-Columbian Aztec and Maya also considered it to be a valuable and culturally important stone. Turquoise is a Throat Chakra stone, aiding with open communication and self-expression, as well as helping to overcome the fear of public speaking and with making a confident and eloquent speech. Some modern healers also believe the gemstone to be detoxifying of alcohol, drugs and other poisons or pollutions of the body. CLEANSING AND CHARGING Be sure to cleanse your Aventurine Turtle when received, and charge with your own energy and intentions. Use your feather fan to waft over it the smoke of purifying incense. Use sound vibrations from a singing bowl, bells, or tingsha chimes while quickly and carefully passing through the flame of a Yellow candle. Place in a (preferably Selenite or Clear Quartz, just not any kind of metal) bowl on top of a bed of dead sea salt and leave soaking in the moonlight for at least four hours. Remove from the bowl, rinse for 30 seconds in (ideally natural, like a stream or in the rain) running water, then gently dry with a cloth (BE CAREFUL with stones that may easily scratch). Hold in your left hand (if wearing for receiving intentions) or right hand (if wearing for emitting intentions) and meditate your intentions and energy onto the stones for half an hour. Alternatively, cleanse by smudging then holding under running water (or leaving out in rainwater) for at least 30 seconds, dry, and gently place in a bed of sea salt on a windowsill after sunset for a few hours. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. Because your gemstones can absorb negative energy, avoid allowing others to touch or handle them and be sure to cleanse regularly. Recharge as needed by placing in the sunlight or moonlight for a few hours, or by burying in the earth for a day or two. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. Do not use heat or steam to clean. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or sunlight. Avoid contact with hard surfaces, and take care not to subject to hard bumps or sharp blows. Labradorite has inner layers, so can split and break if struck too hard.   Sources: https://spiritartsandherbs.com/sources **IMPORTANT INFORMATON: Products are sold as curio items for entertainment purposes only and based upon historical and magical uses.  We do not imply or guarantee that any items provide specific abilities, powers, outcomes, remedies, or treatments.
